Things I've Learned Tonight
1. Make sure I space out my modules in my fit so that overheating one doesn't cause a lot of damage to another one. For example, have the armor repairer in the far most left slot and the DCII in the far right.
2. Energy Neutralizers can help you get away from tackle if you can cap it out.

The Clash
ECN was out plexing when the call came in from Aideron Robotics to form a Heydieles Assault Fleet (HAF). So some of our pilots stopped plexing and joined the fleet. The HAF started out as a Frig/Desy roam but soon escalated to an all out cruiser roam with armor logistics. Intel came in that the Caldari had a fleet made up of battle cruisers and logistics sitting on the Oinasiken gate in Abune.
Our fleet had formed up in Nisuwa and had position itself on the Abune gate in Oinasiken.
The order was giving to jump and hold cloak. As we held cloak the FC explained to us what he wanted us to do: logi would burn out to optimal, drone boats would launch drones and everyone would primary the Curse, secondary was the Oracle, and tertiary were the Exequrors, then the Brutix and the 2 Harbingers. Then the FC started his count down "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 UNCLOAKED! Primary is Isiah in the Curse! ... Isiah in the Curse"
The battle raged for about 9 minutes our logistics did an outstanding job. We only lost 2 ships, a frig and a cruiser. We destroyed the enemy fleet. All in all it was an extremely fun fight and "good fights" were posted in local.

Here's an idea that occurred to me as I was hitting golf balls this morning. The downside of using a Merlin as the Anvil is that if it gets "energy neutralized" the guns stop shooting. So I thought about using the Breacher with rocket launchers instead. The down side is that we lose a little DPS but the up side is that rockets keeping shooting and applying DPS even if it's neutralized. Technically it's less DPS but in reality its more as the rockets keep shooting. Another advantage is that my rockets go further: < 7.3 with rage and < 13.2 with Javelin. Here are 2 screen shots showing Patoyous as pilot and Matador34 providing boost and the reversed:
